The black-headed gull

Danube Delta is home for many migrating species. Although, many of them leave over the winter to warmer places, there still many birds who will be able to resist a long and cold winter. One of these birds is the black-headed gull. What is interesting is that over the winter the black-headed gull changes the color of its hood. This part becomes white with only one black dot on each side of the head, exactly like in the picture below.
